Inverurie Community Campus

Contract type – Design, Build, Finance & Maintain

Construction has been completed on the new £55 million Inverurie Community Campus, which replaces the former Inverurie Academy, community centre and swimming pool.

Pupils were piped into the new building on Tuesday 27th October 2020, which is hub North Scotland’s largest individual project to date.

The new campus provides state-of-the-art teaching accommodation for up to 1,600-pupils with the existing buildings being demolished to allow the construction of car and bus parking, a 3G pitch, a multi-use games area and an external play area.

New accommodation has also been provided for the St Andrews Additional Support Needs School and the community facilities include a six-lane swimming pool, a hydrotherapy pool, a warm water pool and a training pool along with a sports hall, gymnasium, fitness suite, dance studio, climbing wall and community café.

In March 2021, the campus won the Development of the Year (Public buildings) category at the Scottish Property Awards.
