Partnership Awards recognition for project
The £55 million Inverurie Community Campus project delivered by hub North Scotland has been short listed for another award.
It is the only Scottish project to be short listed in this year’s Partnership Awards, which are for major infrastructure projects across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Australia.
Inverurie Community Campus has been shortlisted in the Social Infrastructure Project of the Year category and faces tough competition from projects in England, Wales, and the United Arab Emirates.
The town centre campus was handed over by hub North to the client in September 2020. The main contractor was Robertson Construction, and the architects were Halliday Fraser Munro.
It is home to Inverurie Academy and can cater for up to 1600-pupils. It also has the St Andrews School for Additional Support Needs pupils and a host of community facilities.
These include a six-lane 25m swimming pool, a training pool, a warm water pool and a hydrotherapy pool. There is also two games halls, a dance studio, a large fitness suite and a community café.
Earlier this year, the campus won the Project of the Year (public buildings) category at the Scottish Property Awards. It was also shortlisted in the Infrastructure Project of the Year (over £50 million) category in the Construction News Awards.
The Partnership Awards winners will be announced in London on 16 December.
