The Scottish Futures Trust (SFT) was established in 2008 by the Scottish Government as an independent arm’s length infrastructure specialist company to work with the public and private sectors to maximise the benefits from their infrastructure projects.
It has a vision of creating ‘world class infrastructure for the people of Scotland’ around three key policy themes:
- Enabling the transition to net zero emissions
- Driving inclusive economic growth
- Building resilient and sustainable places
The SFT has a wide range of technical, legal and financial specialists all under one roof, who bring extensive expertise in infrastructure financing, procurement and delivery for the public sector, which enables partners to achieve greater value and deliver improved services for their communities.
Hub North Scotland is one of five hub companies set up by the SFT to help achieve those aims.
