Greyhope School & Community Hub
Contract type – Design & Build
Hub North Scotland successfully handed over the new £23 million Greyhope School & Community Hub to Aberdeen City Council in October 2023.
It was built on the site of the former Torry Academy and was delivered on time, on budget and defect-free. The main contractor was Morrison Construction, and the architects were Halliday Fraser Munro.
The development provides a primary school for up to 434-pupils with early learning and nursery provision for 100-children and space for essential services such as housing, community learning, a library, a café and health services.
There are also recording, performance, and rehearsal facilities along with a 3G seven-a-side pitch, outdoor play area and outdoor learning spaces.
Staff and pupils from Walker Road School relocated to Greyhope on 1 November 2023.
