Aberdeen City Centre & Beachfront Masterplan – Union Street Central

Project type – City Regeneration

This project is a key element of Aberdeen City Council’s city centre and beachfront masterplan, which is the biggest redevelopment in the city for 200-years.

Union Street Central is a £16.9 million streetscape project which will transform the area with new bus and cycle lanes, improved pedestrian access and will provide a gateway for the new Aberdeen Market.

The works commenced in April 2024 under main contractor Galliford Try, through its Morrison Construction subsidiary, and are due to be completed in December 2025.
