Former Police HQ, Queen Street

Project type – Demolition

Originally built in 1975 as the headquarters for the newly formed Grampian Police, this seven-storey building in Queen Street, Aberdeen, later became a divisional base for Police Scotland.

The police relocated to other buildings, including the nearby Marischal College, in 2021/2022, and the building was then stripped out.

Plans have been developed to demolish the building as part of the Queen Street Urban Park project, which is part of Aberdeen City Council’s City Centre and Beachfront Master Plan.

Financial close is expected to be reached in autumn 2026 and the demolition will begin shortly after.
