hub North Scotland has lent a helping hand to Anderson High School in Shetland by donating funds to its upcoming bingo night.
The organisation, which is responsible for delivering the new Anderson High School and halls of residence on behalf of Shetland Islands Council, has made the donation in support of the school’s pupil council which is organising the fundraising event.
Built on the former campsite adjacent to the Clickimin Centre near to the existing Historic Broch, the new school will cater for a maximum of 1,180 pupils with the accompanying halls of residence to house up to 100 pupils. It will also include dedicated ASN accommodation.
Progress on site is continuing to gather momentum with ground floor slab work now complete and the steelwork for the halls of residence in the process of being erected. hub North continues to facilitate site visits by Anderson High School pupils with a view to giving the next generation an insight into their future educational facility.
