Foresterhill Health Centre
Contract type – Design, Build, Finance & Maintain
The new £7.6 million Foresterhill Health Centre in Aberdeen opened for use in September 2018.
It houses two GP practices, Elmbank Group Practice and Westburn Medical Group, and serves more than 15,000 patients and provides a wide range of other health services.
The three-storey centre houses a Boots pharmacy along with specialists in speech and language therapy, podiatry and dietetics.
The centre is also a base for staff from the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership which includes health visitors, district nurses, community midwives and occupational therapy along with direct delivery and care management teams.
The new centre was relocated to a new site on the Foresterhill health campus, which allowed the former centre to be demolished, paving the way for work to start on the new £150 million ANCHOR cancer care centre and Baird Family Hospital.
