Bob Dow
Communications and Marketing Manager
An award-winning media and communications professional with more than 40-years’ experience. During his former newspaper career he was the Aberdeen Bureau Chief of the Daily Record.
His previous communications roles include major events and major incidents for Police Scotland where he worked at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles, The Open at St Andrews and the T at the Park music festival.
He transferred to hub North Scotland in 2018 after working for Galliford Try as communications manager for the Joint Venture Consortium building the £745 million Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie-Tipperty (AWPR/B-T).
Fun fact: He was once mistaken for Eddie the Eagle in a Cardiff bar before a Wales V Scotland rugby international (pre-social media) and didn’t have to buy another drink that night.
