Aberdeen City Centre & Beachfront Masterplan – Castlegate

A £14 million streetscape project for the historic Castlegate is being developed as part of the Aberdeen City Centre and Beachfront Masterplan.
It will transform the area with improved pedestrian and cyclist access and reinforce its location as a crucial link between Union Street and the beach area.
The works are due to begin in the third quarter of 2025, following the visit of the Tall Ships race to the city as the Castlegate will be one of the main venues for that event.
