hub North Scotland recognises that each project it delivers across the territory can bring additional benefits over and above those that occur as a direct result of the construction of improved community-based facilities.
A key KPI (set and monitored by the Scottish Government) is to ensure that, wherever possible, work packages are tendered to small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s) from the local area. These SME’s make up hub North Scotland's tier two supply chain which is reviewed on a regular basis.
hub North Scotland offers SME’s advice and guidance on how to successfully pre-qualify to have the best chance of securing work through its program. It will continue to work with the local community both:
- Directly – through its initiatives such as supporting students from Robert Gordon University during work placement in the hub office.
- Indirectly – continue to work closely with its main contractors to engage with the local community throughout the life cycle of each project. This engagement may take a variety of forms from encouraging school visits to the site to promote health and safety issues to making contributions (financial or other resources) to help solve a local issue. If you think we could help with your local initiative please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
