Construction is underway on the £34 million replacement for Alness Academy on behalf of the Highland Council with Kier Construction as the main contractors.

The new school will cater for 660-pupils and will have community facilities including a six-lane swimming pool, a games hall, gym, and two floodlit 3G pitches.

We welcome the news of the exciting project getting underway. The pupils of Alness will greatly benefit from the new facilities and so will the wider community

The new school, which is being built on the site of the existing facility overlooking the Cromarty Firth, is due for completion in Spring 2020.
