Centre of Excellence - Orchard Brae School opens to staff and pupils

Hub North Scotland are delighted to have partnered with Aberdeen City Council in delivering the Centre of Excellence, Orchard Brae School.
Orchard Brae School is the first of its kind in Scotland and will be a hub to support pupils with Additional Support Needs (ASN) across Aberdeen. Orchard Brae School will provide education and support for up to 150 full-time children and young people aged 3 to 18 years and will function as community hub for parents, families and charities to access the best in class facilities; as well as providing outreach services such as speech and language and autism support.
The school boasts; a swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, soft play and sensory rooms with the design integrated with the external learning and play spaces, wildlife and growing gardens and is complemented by an Independent Living Unit [Howes Hoose].
Hub North Scotland, Chief Executive, Michael Padzinski said “we are extremely delighted that the project has been delivered for the community as a whole. This environment for learning and development will provide the students and staff with a world class, modern learning campus, which sites at the heart of the community for the future”.
